Former President Donald Trump (R) and Vice President Kamala Harris (D) are tied in Wisconsin in the 2024 race for the White House.
That’s according to a poll of Michigan voters released today by TechnoMetrica.
Trump and Harris are close at 45% and 46% respectively in a head-to-head matchup among likely voters, with 5% of voters preferring RFK Jr. as the poll was taken before he suspended his campaign to endorse Trump.
In a two-person race, Harris leads by 2 points, with 48% compared to Trump’s 46%, which the poll notes is within the margin of error for the findings.
24% of voters surveyed said they have not firmly decided and are willing to change their minds before November. 44% of Michigan voters said their neighbors are voting for Trump, 36% said their neighbors are voting for Harris, and 20% of voters are unsure. 44-36%
54% of voters said the economy is among their top three issues. The majority, 64% of Michigan voters, said they were better off financially under President Trump.
Regarding the economy, Michigan voters prefer Trump over Harris 49% to 43%, and 52% of voters would trust Trump over Harris to improve national security, while 39% of voters would trust Harris over Trump.
In regards to the border, 56% of voters said they prefer Trump rather than Harris be in charge of immigration, while 34% said they would before Harris over Trump.
Only 28% of Michigan voters are against Harris’ pro-reparations stance.
The American Greatness/TIPP survey was conducted online between August 20 to August 22 among 741 registered Michigan voters who were likely to vote in the November election.
