The City of Portage, MI is developing a new Master Plan that will serve as a roadmap to direct future growth and development in the city. Your participation is key in the creation of the Plan! We invite you to share your vision by visiting the project website ForwardTogether.portagemi.gov, taking the online survey, providing ideas on the map.social tool. This is just the beginning – we invite you to participate in a variety of Master Plan activities that will take place during the 18-month planning process, and share these opportunities with friends, colleagues, and neighbors.

In addition to the project website and online survey, city staff and the consultant team, Houseal Lavigne, recently collaborated with the Planning Commission and focus groups to identify assets, challenges, and opportunities for the City of Portage which will help an Existing Conditions summary. In-person public engagement is expected to begin in early 2023. Stay tuned with updates through a variety of channels available on the “Keep Me Updated” tab of the project website.
