Enbridge Inc. announced on May 6 that shareholders approved the election of all 12 directors nominated by management during its Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The vote was held as part of the company’s regular business proceedings, with results reflecting strong support for each candidate.

The approval of the full slate of directors is a key step in maintaining continuity and leadership at Enbridge, which operates major energy infrastructure across North America and Europe.

According to detailed voting results released by Enbridge, M.M. (Mike) Ashar received 99.09% votes in favor, while Gregory L. Ebel had support from 95.78% of votes cast. Other elected directors include Gaurdie E. Banister, Susan M. Cunningham, Jason B. Few, Douglas L. Foshee, Theresa B.Y. Jang, Teresa S. Madden, Manjit Minhas, Stephen S. Poloz, S. Jane Rowe and Steven W. Williams.

Enbridge describes itself as connecting millions to energy through its natural gas, oil and renewable power networks in North America and a growing offshore wind portfolio in Europe.”We’re investing in modern energy delivery infrastructure to sustain access to secure, affordable energy and building on more than a century of operating conventional energy infrastructure and two decades of experience in renewable power,” the company said.

The company added that it is advancing new technologies such as hydrogen production, renewable natural gas projects and carbon capture initiatives.

Shareholders can expect ongoing investment from Enbridge in both traditional and emerging forms of energy delivery as the newly elected board oversees strategic direction.
