The Detroit Public Schools Community District announced on May 5 that it will hold its regular District Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at the East English Village Preparatory Academy at Finney. The school is located at 5020 Cadieux St, Detroit.

The general board meeting is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be open to the public. For those unable to attend in person, the district said the meeting will also be accessible online for convenience.

District staff are encouraged to participate as part of ongoing efforts to realize the mission and vision for Detroit public education and strengthen community engagement.

The event offers an opportunity for staff and community members to stay informed about district initiatives and contribute their perspectives during board proceedings.

Looking ahead, officials say they hope continued attendance and engagement will help foster a stronger connection between schools and the broader Detroit community.
