The City of Rochester announced on May 4 that a Memorial Day ceremony will take place on Monday, March 25 at 9:00 AM. The event will be followed by a parade and a community gathering at the Fire Department.

The announcement provides an opportunity for residents to honor those who have served in the military and to participate in community activities. Memorial Day ceremonies are traditionally held to remember and pay tribute to fallen service members.

Following the ceremony, a parade is scheduled, offering attendees a chance to come together in recognition of the day’s significance. Afterward, hot dogs will be served at the Fire Department located at 277 E. Second St., with food available from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM.

The city encourages participation from all community members as part of its ongoing efforts to foster unity and remembrance through public events. The combination of formal observance and informal gathering aims to bring people together while honoring those who have sacrificed for their country.

Future announcements regarding additional details or changes to the schedule may be provided by city officials as Memorial Day approaches.
