Basic Soap Making Workshop at the Library February 4

January 27, 2023 â€“ Join the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library for a new program series called Hobbies 101, beginning with a basic soap making workshop put on by Dancing Crane. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to create lye-based soap from scratch using natural ingredients.

This program will take place in two sessions in the Library’s Community Room on Saturday, February 4: A teen workshop for teens in grades 7-12 will meet from 12:30 – 2 p.m. and an adult workshop for attendees ages 18+ years will meet from 3 – 4:30 p.m. Teens under the age of 15 must have an adult with them to participate in the workshop. Registration is required and begins at 12 a.m. on Saturday, January 28 on the Library calendar at gadml.librarycalendar.com

This activity is funded in part by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and the Michigan Humanities Council.
