The Michigan Department of Transportation announced on April 8 that the Barney Road bridge over US-131 Business Route in Kalamazoo will be closed for repairs from April 13 through April 29.
The closure is necessary for maintenance work on the bridge. During this period, traffic will be detoured via Nichols Road, Ravine Road, and Douglas Avenue. The department said this $193,938 project is expected to directly and indirectly support two jobs.
